An ongoing project for Yanga. A new careers website, to really position them as a great place to work.

I was allowed to take a headstart regarding this new project during my internship for Elephant. In this project, it is my job to decipher the briefing, analyze it and turn it into solid design guidelines. After that, I’d use the existing framework that Elephant has for careersites, and use my newly-learned Figma-skills to make it into something aesthetically pleasing and actually usable.

My tasks during this project were as follows:

  • Deskresearch

  • Fielresearch

  • Planning

  • Wireframing

  • Setting up design files in Figma

First of all, I thoroughly read the briefing and wrote it down in my own words, so I really understood the task at hand. I translated the briefing into usable design guidelines, that I could keep with me as I designed.

I also approached a few test subjects, to do field research. I felt as though I needed a bit more information and knowledge on the careers-site topic. I held several interviews, did multiple tests and put that into an extensive report.

After that, I set up the design file in Figma. I started designing buttons and widgets. This is the part of the process where I am at right now. I am excited to see what the future will bring!
